We did it!! I (meaning me and Adrianne and Jarin) have been working our guts out for the past month on this dance. It all came to fruition last night. My amazingly talented friend Krisi and her sister painted the Wonderland backdrop for me. I am seriously surrounded by such amazingly talented people. Thank you thank you.

Marie nearly had a nervous breakdown just letting her son shoot a toy bow and arrow. Too funny.

This is my lovely friend Marie. We did a little shoot with our kids the other night. It was so much fun. Marie is fabulous at styling so we visited the DI in the morning and she helped me put my kids outfits together. We had a great time. Let me just say, I would way rather photograph other people's kids then my own. :)

This is little miss Aiden. I photographed her parents when they were married, when she was a baby and now her 2 years. She lives back East so it is always a pleasure to see her and her momma. Have I told you lately how much I love my job? The photo gods were smiling on me for this session. The weather was crap!! We started shooting and we were freezing our butts off. We almost canceled the Dunes because we thought it would be a wind storm. Low and behold we get there and it was perfectly calm. Wehoo. Turns out TJ is one of the top riders in Utah. I would have never guessed. He was so humble. As we were finishing up this helicopter kept flying over us. He was so low. It scared the bejesus out of me. I thought for sure we were going to get gunned down.

Shooting family is always fun and challenging. First of all they wait until the last minute ;) secondly they don't really take you serious. However, they are SOOOOO much fun because they are relaxed. My Parents are Rabbits

I know I am the worst blogger in the world. I can't seem to keep up on everything. So if you have had a session with me recently, don't worry I will post you sometime (I hope ;0)

Anyway just did my family this Sunday. I just wanted to show you how HUGE my family is. Mind you this is just my brothers and sisters and their kids. We had a great time shooting this. Usually my older brothers give me hell (I am #6 out of 7 kids) so they love to torment me, but this time they were such good boys ;)

So when you are stressed about getting your family together for pictures, just remember it could be worse, but it is TOTALLY worth it.

On a Personal Note

Ada had her first piano recital. She did a duet with her grandma (that is who teaches her and makes her practice, which is amazing). It was the cutest thing ever. She wasn't even scared.

We went to Bear Lake and had my dear friend and her girls watch Jack. This is what we came home to. Pink tutu and pink nails. Poor poor Jack.

Our trip to Bear Lake was super eventful. This day was nice. Gavin even was able to catch a view ZZZs. The next day we were in the worst storm I have ever been in. Seriously it was like 6 foot waves. SCARY! I thought Lynda might have a nervous breakdown.

Whether we are on the beach or in the canyon the face looks the same.

We used to always go to the stadium of fire (outside of course) to watch the fireworks. It is a nightmare trying to leave. So we have started a new tradition. We call it the back yard of fire. Jarin even rocked Pandora on his phone for effect.

What can I say about this image, other than AWESOME!! Note it was hot outside. He obviously dressed himself. I love this kid.

One of our boating outings to Mona Res. Gavin is such a poser. And yes that is Jarin with a pink towel on.

One day my sister and I were out talking and the next thing I knew Miles was stripped down swimming with Nibs (the inlaws dog). He would hop in when she would and then run over on the grass and roll around on the grass like she did. It was sooooo funny.

The Broadbent's are serious runners. I mean like marathons and crap. Crazy. Anyway Ada ran her first run. It was the cutest thing ever. Miles also ran. You can tell he wasn't so sure about it. He started 1 second after everyone else.

Ada is such a princess. She made this hat and did her makeup all by herself.

Summer comes around and my kids HAVE to get their faces painted at every fair there is. Well one night Jarin was "watching" Miles (aka surfing the net) I walked in and this is what I saw. Miles had decided to paint his own face.

Last but not least. Ada just started first grade. Aunt Monica gave her this outfit for the first day of school. Ada loved it.

I was lucky enough to photograph this amazing family. Their oldest son was leaving for a mission like 3 days later. They were so funny! The dad was grumbling the whole time and I was giving him major crap. I love how men think that taking a picture is the HARDEST thing in the whole world, when all they have to do is show up and smile. Go figure.

I have been blessed with really great in laws. I know it's crazy! We live really close so the kids are over at their house constantly (or at least begging to be there). I can always count on them for babysitting and whatever help we need. Really did I mention how great they are?
A therapist friend of mine opened a practice in Springville and needed images for her waiting room. We did this shoot just for that. So glad I did. I love the interaction of the kids with David. Priceless.

I love seniors so much. It is such a fun stage in life. There are limitless possibilities ahead of them. It is so inspiring. It always makes me wonder what I want to be when I grow up.

Brooklyn is a fabulous girl. I was able to photograph her sister's wedding a few years ago. I love photographing people that I already have a relationship with. Plus I found out that they own Stone Drug in Spanish Fork. I was so happy! My dad used to take me there on special daddy daughter days to get a hamburger and an ice cream. Such a wonderful memory.

I love this girl. She is an amazing artist. We actually traded pictures for painting. She is going to paint me some rockin' canvases. I am so excited. This session was crazy funny. The horse escaped, her friend was the sassiest girl I think I have ever met. I would share her comments with you but I don't think it is family friendly.

I really love my job. Have I ever mentioned that before? I get to work with some of the coolest people in the happiest times of their lives. So great. These two are so sweet and cute with each other.

I got to see my cutest new nephew yesterday. I have been so excited for him to come! I love babies especially when I don't have to get up at night with them ;) I have to tell you my sister makes the cutest little babies ever. Ok so notice the little alarm on his ankle. It cracks me up. What kind of world are we living in that we have to put alarms on our babies so they don't get stolen. I mean seriously people!

I am so in love with this baby! She made my womb hurt for a little girl. I am also loving my studio! Perfect.
